Danny first appeared in a set of footage from 2001 and 2002 titled "Tony the Tiger with Tourette's Syndrome" by series creator Jared Six on the website eBaumsWorld. He was born in February 24, 1964. The footage made its way to the fan-made Tourette's Guy website before being posted to the video-sharing site YouTube in 2005, where exposure to Danny would flourish. Numerous parodies, clips, and compilations of the character had been made ever since, becoming a worldwide cultural phenomenon. Danny was believed to have died in a car accident in August 2007. However, this rumor was proved false as he was imprisoned that same year. Beliefs of his death have also been disproved with outside footage and eyewitness accounts.
