I was recently in Hawaii and stopped at every local coffee shop I could find. This would have been excellent to have. And I'm with you, this feels very empowering to a non-coder like myself. Packaging the prompts in a way that could help other noobs, would be awesome;)

A podcaster's responsibly to their audience, in terms of gear/production quality, is very simple.

A decent mic, within close proximity, in a quiet location.

Congrats! You have good audio quality and the listener appreciates it whether they perceive it or not.

Editing podcast audio at work and host bumps the mic arm, mid sentence and the very sharp, wide (enough) freq. that it produces can only be reduced, not removed and the dialog needs to stay.

Looking forward to a built-in AI feature that clones the voice and replaces the messed up audio. (Adobe 👀).

The irony is that it seems hard to imagine it working without...YouTube.

Gone are the days of podcasters hosting their own video. YouTube took that spot and it was never financially viable for podcasters to maintain. So if Apple really wants it to work, gonna need an upload button ;)

This is very cool tech BUT yikes, it feels like a rewind to the days of hosting audio on S3, except with video it's 10x the danger of waking up to a massive hosting bill! Seems hard to imagine this beating out YouTube for 99% of podcasters. But as a viewer, I'd love the option.

Don't agree that anything is bound to happen or that it's happening at all. People may not be talking about RSS, they're weren't ever meant to, but podcasts as a media type, are thriving. It's fine to have your podcast on YouTube and even encouraged but the creator should understand the differences

The conversation is evolving, RSS doesn't have to be the focus, but if it truly becomes less relevant, that's bad for creators. But since we're (U.S.) also tossing the constitution into the garbage, why not open protocols too. Creators who ignore history, will lose in the long run.

Fact: podcasts require rss.
Spirit: podcasts = shows.

Creators needs to understand the facts. Audience only needs to know there’s a show.

If you’re a creator who doesn’t understand the importance of the rss element, your show can suffer. Simple.

How you talk about it depends on the audience.

Substitute teacher in elementary school kept calling me Raymond. Repeatedly corrected them, my name is just, Ray. By the third time, I got loud, that’s not my name! Sent to principal’s office. Made my case. Facts (back when they mattered) on my side. Innocent;) Sent back to class.

The whole ballgame, this whole time, has been them being in power for more than 4 years. And every day they further that plan and yet it's not something I'm seeing being covered enough. Or worse, pundits brush it off. If we don't have free and fair elections next time, it really is...over.

However it has one major drawback I've noticed over the years... sibilance.

This is actually leveled audio. Everyone in this podcast ep. sounds equally loud. "Loudness," how humans perceive sound, is partly a function of the tone of a person's voice (high vs low) ex: most people perceive 2–4 kHz louder than lower frequencies.
