Update: I never check on here too much, I've grown somewhat of a distaste for social media, I just wanted to say that I am still somewhat working on my projects but at the same time I have to get my life in order, Financially mainly. Got dealt some shitty cards this year.

Got a pretty big rock thrown into my path but I guess I’ll just have to keep working with a lot less support. I’m also most likely either going back into my old job or I’ll try to get into a more programming based job somehow. Old job would mean less time to work on games for sure.

YouTube's monopoly over user-generated content is a structural problem, not even just a police issue. Right now the tools for expression for millions are concentrated in the hands of a single corporate entity. (5/5)

The infrastructure required to host and stream video at that kind of scale is incredibly expensive, essentially locking out any fairer alternatives from even entering the conversation, as we've seen time and time again. (4/5)

From what I can see there is no way to unionize a space like YouTube, creators are treated like gig workers but way more isolated, without any protections or leverage.To me the worst part is that we can't just build a better platform. (3/5)

From a leftist perspective I find it alarming how creators are completely dependent on a system that can demonetize them, bury their content or even just straight up erase them at any moment with no warning and no real accountability. (2/5)

Due to the large unemployment and under staffing wave in Austria right now I'm pretty much getting calls every day from companies looking for an electrician. It's a harsh landscape out there right now but I'm gonna have to just go to as many interviews as possible. We'll see.
