I gave up trying to figure it out. Maybe we over think it sometimes.

I'm often quite surprised which works of mine get selected or passed over. It's almost like photographers, models, and editors are completely different people!🤨

I don't hate it, but I easily see what you're talking about with the lighting and whatnot. Still, I applaud the photographer taking chances. Trying something different doesn't always work, but it is a necessity for growth. Gods know that I've taken my share of shitty shots along the way.
