EDF5 is good, though I'm only an hour in. Wing Diver is a ton of fun (and I think she's a cutie patootie ❤️), I immediately took to the aerial controls and maneuvering.

Updated list of games to beat(?) for 2026. I'll probably have to swap some lengthier games out for quicker games because that's a lot of RPGs lol

3. Guardian Heroes (Saturn). A fun game that was definitely meant to be played co-op. There's some jank and some annoyance with getting stunlocked, but there's a lot of variety with its gameplay & story. Played as Nicole because she's funny, but she cheeses with her barrier spell.

2. Majora's Mask (N64). Played via 2ship2harkinian. I beat OoT when it came out, but never got to this until now. I get why ppl are passionate about it, I do like the game, but it's definitely not my favorite Zelda.

1. Easy Delivery Co. A fun short game about making deliveries while being horrendously underpaid and bonding with the shopkeepers. There's a mystery about it, although I saw the twist coming. I found it quite comfy.

Wark is the best, but I think it was abandoned by Square Enix :( Think it only appeared in FF7, 8 and Tactics.

- Finish Traum and Ordeal Call 1 in FGO (lol)
- Read the main chapters of Arknights (at chapter 6 orz)
- Read through Kowloong Metropolis in PGR, more if possible

My current list of games to beat in 2026. I'd like to add more, I'd want to finish a Pokemon romhack for example (Odyssey or Lazarus), but adding more will lead to choice paralysis.

- Never played Majora's Mask, need to fix it. Gonna play the Ship of Harkinian mod
- Beat all mainline Personas, but never played a mainline SMT. Still debating which one to start with

For every Undertale, Ultrakill, and Stardew Valley, there are hundreds of indie games that will never amass any kind of audience. Getting noticed is harder than ever.

I've been using steampeek.hu to try and find the real 'hidden gems' and it's startling how many games have so few reviews.

What do you do if you're an indie game dev and you release a game and it gets less than 30 reviews on Steam and it's something you worked on for years and you needed the money to pay rent?

This is one of many reasons I wouldn't want to learn to make my own game. The market is too saturated.

Will I actually play them, and not just randomly play Doom wads, Picross and Hot Shots Golf instead?

I've never spent this much on a Steam sale, and I've had my account since Half-Life 2. 45 games. It is meant to be a present to myself due to everything going on in my life.

I've also been watching walking tours on Youtube, and visiting random places in VRchat to try and put my mind somewhere else for a while.

There is a feeling of 'everything is pointless' when I try to relax and play games, but I'm trying to avoid it. I'm not being fair to myself to think like that, I think I deserve to be happy with whatever it is I'm doing.

I'm hanging in there, I think, maybe. Helps if I keep busy with things.

I have good memories of playing Doom during the winter, so I've been playing wads like Scythe 2, Vanguard and now Amalgoom.
