Sorry to vent heavy sht out of nowhere but its my birthday, let me get some stuff off my chest as a bday present 💝
i got out of it once and i know i will get better again, i grew a lot since my last big depression ten years ago and i know i will grow even more, im just impatient to feel good again

Im 28 and moved back in with my mom and still dont know what im "gonna be when i grow up" if not an artist of some kind but idk how im gonna make that happen when my art output is non-existent during long periods

I still dont know what to do because the way i got better as a teen was just.. recovering from the art block but it just happened by itself eventually, but with the added pressure of pushing 30 and having to be an adult and make something of myself it feels like everything hangs in the balance NOW

I went through a similar period around ten years ago where i was so artblocked that i entered a spiral of having negative self-worth, and going through the same thing again with the added pressure of being in fine arts school has been so extremely mentally taxing

And it happening right around my birthday i feel like im always gonna remember this particular period

Im not at the bottom of a pit anymore like i felt in october/november thankfully but i think its gonna take some time to get better again and im scared that ive lost some part of me in the last yr

Can i be a bit sad and srs for a moment-- ive never really felt anxiety about getting older but this year ive gone through a really rough depressive period and when i looked in the mirror recently i felt like my face had aged rapidly and suddenly ive been feeling like im in a quarter life crisis
