The more demoralizing part has been watching people live their lives and do things while I have to ration instant noodles and avoid leaving my home so that I can stretch my money as much as possible. I want to live.

I wish I could find a place to work with my degree that is able to commit to funding for the job. 🥲 All of the research & learning I've done to be familiar with cancer research is now feeling pointless. Places saying they'll offer the job if they can secure funding and then never responding again.

Every industry I have worked in during my PhD Candidacy has experienced massive job decreases and now I can't even find new jobs to apply for. At this rate it feels like my degree with lapse before I even get one temporary position.

My car is nearly paid off, but now since I'm having to look for jobs overseas I'm going to have to sell it if I get something. 🫠All of this happening as I completed my research work has ruined so much that I worked to build in the past 10 years.

My PhD came in the mail today and I wish I could enjoy it, but I haven't bothered to open it because all it makes me feel is upset that I'm unable to find a job because of all the gutting done to medical research.

Online company is now undoing some of my invoices because they don't read the notes I leave for them about why the invoice is there. How do they find these people to be accountants when they don't even do the smallest bit of reading.

Many of my work colleagues are telling me to get things ready for KVisa by the end of the year, but it makes me sad because I won't be able to see any of my friends if I take it. 👻

🐶I just want a job that is able to follow through, for the past year it has been nothing but offers that get pulled because securing funding gets in the way due to US policies. 10 years of education to study cancer and I can't find a single job now.

It's been a really bad month, but the nice thing that did happen this month is someone taught me a trick to cancel my adobe subscription without having to pay $70.

I just called Chuck Schumer’s office and, for the first time EVER, a person answered, who then politely entered my complaints into their call log.

This tells me two things:

1) They’re not getting enough calls over there, and 2) If you want to yell at Schumer, today’s the day.

I was hoping a PhD would allow me to find employment that meant I wouldn't have to keep working as a part time tutor, but I still have to work with some of the most entitled adults and parents who annoy me to no end. I just want to study cancer and do art.

Tempted to make a companion emote of Jungle Pocket

Fun fact while making this is I had to get help from a friend because initial drawings of her doing her normal eyes make her look really horny which wasn't intended at all, but that's just the normal anime face of Tachyon when she stares at Jungle Pocket. Resting Yuri Horse face in that movie.
