Falkirk are due two home games. They have played Motherwell, Hearts and Celtic away twice so those should be their home games but that would put them at 19/17 home/away for year so Hearts is most likely to be switched.

Hibs are due three home games and two away games. They will have been away to Hearts, Celtic and Motherwell twice so to meet the 18 home, 18 away they will need to travel to one of those teams a third time. Celtic is most likely option.

Motherwell are due two home and three away. They will have played Rangers, Falkirk and Hibs twice at home and this one is neat as they should be home to Celtic and Hearts and away for other three games.

Celtic – due 3 home games and 2 away. Have been away to Hearts and Rangers twice so will get those two at home. We need a third home game. Falkirk or Hibs are only options. Hibs most likely and can see a scenario where SPFL gives them a third trip to Celtic and they host Rangers for a third time.

Rangers – will need two home games and 3 away - will have only played us and Hearts twice at home so those are away games. They will need to go away for a third time to either Falkirk, Motherwell (unlikely if still in title picture) or Hibs.

They need a second home game to get them 18 home and 18 away games for the season. I reckon this will be Falkirk as they won’t want it to be against a contender (i.e. us or Motherwell) and probably won’t want a third Edinburgh derby to be at Tynecastle.

Hearts – will need to play two home games and three away. They will have played Celtic, Motherwell, Hibs and Falkirk twice at home, and technically their only home game should be against Rangers.

Assuming top 6 stays as it is, some interesting permutations for the post-split fixtures.

All of the following assumes trying to keep all teams at 18 home and 18 away games for season and minimal disruption to title challengers and minimal disruption to teams.
