The bowers museum displays The Great Wave wood block print
The Bowers museum has one of my favorite pieces at on exhibit. The Great Wave s most know it tho that’s not its real name. I included the data plaque if you zoom in :) I love wood block prints and this has always been a favorite from the time I first saw it as a child

Shots showing various issues with my seiko 4005 watch. Quite a few broke parts and a few missing parts. These are very complicated and many watchmaker even “in the day” didn’t like working on them.
Finished seiko 4005. Repaired and refurbished . This is a 27 jewel movement with a mechanical alarm
What I started with for the seiko 4005 refurbish effort. It had seen some hard use and shoddy repairs
This was my first seiko 4005. I bought by mistake for parts thinking is was a 4006. I wasn’t paying close attention to the pictures. When I got it and saw what I had actually bought, I decided it was worth the effort at recovery. It took a fair bit of work but I’m happy with the results
