I can’t remember if these were for the looms or knitting machines (or both), but punch card machines are still in use in many places, this was from a tour of Jamieson’s of Shetland in 2016.

There are 70 or so vendors with really great fiber wares and yarn accessories and tools, as well as sheep, a wool show with a fleece sale, sheepdogs, various contests, a kid’s activities area, food, and music!

Not sure if that was an attempt at a joke? I took this video on Friday morning before the school kids showed up, on purpose while the booth was quiet. Saturday is an entirely different scenario and lots of people are posting pix that include big (but not overwhelming imo) crowds.

Nice and thank you! Yeah, the LEDs are really good candidates for DIY with coin cells. A CR2032 has about double the capacity of the tiny lipo I’m using. That’s cool that you’ve gotten a few days, what current are you driving it at? I’m running about 11-12 mA.

Also, the long shooting stars have two modes - the animated shooting star and solid on. Power cycling the Glowie switches back and forth between the two!

Yeah, there’s not much a simple jig could do as a lot of these motions involve feeling small resistances and doing small rotations. One of those things where designing a jig would be a whole project in and of itself.

Yo dawg I heard you like panels.

These are just filament-printed out of PETG. They’re amazing strong and while I can break a tab if I try to force the snap action at the wrong angle, over 100 of them have now been assembled by myself and other people with no issues. And they’ve been dropped onto a concrete slab floor several times.

The second part showing how the front cover snaps into the bottom cover and the PCB. I knew I wanted the bottom cover to be the primary one, because it covers the battery and is most important. That left little room for the top cover to snap on, so it’s mostly notches for the bottom cover’s tabs.
