Texas’ Anti-Trans Attorney General Declares Psychologists Must Impose Conversion Therapy on Trans Kids In a new opinion released Friday, Texas AG Ken Paxton has effectively prohibited therapists from treating trans kids—unless they try to convert them.

These people just suck. Cruelty aside, their “solutions” are terrible and lead to demonstrably worse outcomes on every measure. It’s what happens when you put ideology over empirical, evidence-based treatment. The people are mean *and* stupid. transitics.substack.com/p/texas-anti...

In an early draft of the script for The Shining, Stanley Kubrick played with Jack being more overtly right-wing. My two favorite horror movies of the 80’s are The Shining and The Thing. The latter film might be the very best, which is huge praise from me. It’s a perfect film.
