Been working on a deeper dive into how the Sonic movies came to be. Apparently Pat Casey and Josh Miller were going to have Sonic and other animals be from South America, mutated from Chaos Emeralds falling to Earth. Sega mandated Sonic coming from "another world". I'll have a video on this soon
