Pope Francis, whom I always affectionately called PappaF, has left the building. In my lifetime, he was my favorite pope. And I will always love the emojis created for his first visit to the US.

After 15 years of great service, my Electrolux vacuum cleaner bit the dust. Time to get a new one. Maybe a robovac.

On Friday, I was at Mall of Scandinavia in Arenastaden. There’s a Tesla showroom there. It was full of Swedes either buying or considering buying Teslas. They know Rocket Boy is a Nazi. They still want to buy his cars. 🙄

It was horrific watching the spectacle…

In Stockholm for a friend’s vernissage. Just came back from dinner and observing the courtship rituals of upscale Swedes at the hotel bar. Makes me glad I am no longer single and trying to pull. 🙄

I had to request information and images pre-January 2025 to actually see images and get correct information. 🙄

…a lie. I knew that train travel from Newport News and Richmond, Virginia in 1960 was still segregated. I just needed the names of the train stations and images of what the train carriages for Black and non-white passengers would look like. It began giving me BS answers and would NOT show images.

… so I put in the same request, with a wish to share it to my project notebook. This time I had a hard time finding what I wanted on Google. I went to the licensed version of Chat GPT and it initially showed me what I was looking for and then suddenly switched to a scrubbed version that was…

I had an interesting experience with ChatGPT today. I started off using Google for some research re: train travel from the southern part of the US to the mid Atlantic and northeastern states during the early 1960s. I was having trouble finding the info it showed me a few weeks ago…

Back in the Nineties, when I first moved here, Nazi skinheads were terrorizing immigrants and LGBTQ communities. The police and many people wrote it off as teenagers going through a phase until they murdered a 14-year-old Swedish boy.

They’ll soon find it… or downplay it.
