Iβm continuing to be disappointed with the vibe of the apocalypse.
12.11.2025 00:45 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Elon Musk: With Optimus, we might be able to stop putting people in prison. βIf somebody's committed a crime, we might be able to provide a more humane form of containment of future crime. You now get a free Optimus, and it's just going to follow you around and stop you from doing crime. Other than that, you get to do anything; it's just going to stop you from committing crime. That's really it. You don't have to put people in prisons and stuff. It's pretty wild to think of all the possibilities, but I think it's clearly the future.β Tesla Shareholder Meeting, November 6,
in a long life filled with saying stupid shit this is may be the stupidest shit he's ever said
11.11.2025 19:21 β π 7053 π 1167 π¬ 633 π 680Reminds me of Dan Olsen/Folding Ideas βRude to Suck At Warcraftβ vid.
Rude to be bad at Silksong.
Especially a bummer for a game as lovingly crafted as Silksong. Some of my favorite boss fights of all time have been in this game.
Also some of the absolute worst, dogshit, βrandom bullshit goβ and βnothing personal, kidβ bosses Iβve ever fought.
I play games to not think about this dumpster fire of a world. To overcome challenging but interesting obstacles.
Silksong isnβt that. Itβs been a slog.
On another hand, it does suck to watch a style of game that Iβve loved for a while now enter into an arms race with itself - we must cater to the lore nerds and the speed runners and the challenge runners and people who are just kinda mid at games but still love them get left behind.
11.11.2025 21:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I had this experience with the Elden Ring DLC too. These kinds of games are outpacing my basic skill level and willingness to put up with bullshit. Theyβre not being made for casual, mid-skill gamers. And on one hand, thatβs fine - not every game is made for everyone.
11.11.2025 21:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think I have probably 2 bosses left in Silksong. An incredible game made with such care and devotion that has ended up simply exhausting me because nobody took Team Cherryβs face gently and said βhard /=/ good, scale it all back 10% and donβt waste the playerβs time, itβll still be a good gameβ
11.11.2025 21:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have to hand it to them, it's an incredible bit to publicly lose a game of chicken, admit that's what happened, and then spend the next day lecturing everyone about courage and tenacity

They said something to the effect of βand Iβm happy to take it to stick it to these motherfuckersβ

06.11.2025 21:21 β π 11065 π 5163 π¬ 95 π 204I want you to understand what it is like to live in Chicago during this time. Every day my phone buzzes. It is a neighborhood group: four people were kidnapped at the corner drugstore. A friend a mile away sends a Slack message: she was at the scene when masked men assaulted and abducted two people on the street. A plumber working on my pipes is distraught, and I find out that two of his employees were kidnapped that morning. A week later it happens again. An email arrives. Agents with guns have chased a teacher into the school where she works. They did not have a warrant. They dragged her away, ignoring her and her colleaguesβ pleas to show proof of her documentation. That evening I stand a few feet from the parents of Rayito de Sol and listen to them describe, with anguish, how good Ms. Diana was to their children. What it is like to have strangers with guns traumatize your kids. For a teacher to hide a three-year-old child for fear they might be killed. How their relatives will no longer leave the house. I hear the pain and fury in their voices, and I wonder who will be next. Understand what it is to pray in Chicago.

I am once again saying that we saw what wall to wall, panic coverage of a crisis looked like after the Biden debate and thereβs no reason Trump isnβt getting that kind of coverage except for class solidarity.
