Happy New Year from Wine Country 🍷

Thank god we landed safely. Happy Holidays! This Air Canada Misadventure was one of the books.

Chile, just finished watching Quiet Place: Day One and Lupita Nyongo is a national treasure. I was SCREAMING on the flight. Also, the magician is back and he did a fabulous trick, but now I am holding my passport tight in case he tries to make that disappear too. 👀

The turbulence just stopped, but I am gonna keep the gospel music on cause I am still shook. I have a few hours left on the flight so praying we touch down safely. But this flight has been a Netflix Holiday special to say the least! Will keep y’all updated soon!

We are cruising and then BOOM! My wine flys out of my hand. Turbulence hits like crazy. I gotta turn #CrossonPrime off and turn on the Clark Sisters so I can stay near the CROSS. Cause it ain’t my time yet LORD. The plane is shaking like dice honey, it is wild! 🙏🏾

The flight gets enough gas, and we take off! Finally we are in the air, and ready for holiday break! Air Canada what a wild ride, but please get this magician his 75K miles because now that this flight is delayed he may have missed the cut off to keep his status.

I switch to Pasta and have more wine. I am socializing, living my best life, waiting for the plane to gas up. I get back in my seat, and decide to watch #CrossOnPrime. Um, Aldis Hodge is amazing! Anyway, the pasta comes, I am starving and the Pinot is hitting!

The magician has moved from economy to first class and is doing tricks for everyone. Issa party! The flight attendants take our meal orders: Butter Chicken or Pasta. I choose the Butter Chicken, and my cast clowns me because Air Canada chicken may be a hot mess. 👀

Not me trying to YouTube “How to Fly a Plane.” The man next to me in the aisle refuses to get up. He just swivels his legs around like a TetherBall. I gotta squeeze out to freedom. Some of us wanted to get on the mic to do some improv. The flight attendants said ABSOLUTELY NOT.

This Air Canada plane RAN OUT OF GAS!!! So now we in Toronto at the Mobile gas station for planes trynna fill up. Chaos. Everybody starts standing up and we are looking for snacks. They change the pilots to new ones and none of us know how long we are gonna be on this plane.

I knock out cold listening to a story on the Calm app by the icon Sheryl Lee Ralph and I am in a deep sleep. Honey 45mins later the plane lands!!!! HUH? Why are we now in Toronto?!? We need to still be in the air Air Canada!!!

Also on the flight was a lady and her mother who were SCREAMING at each other. Chile I was like WHAT IS GOING ON? First class is giving GREYHOUND BUS! I had to put the Calm app on and have a glass of ginger ale to settle my nerves.

The magician is behind us doing tricks, and chatting with us, and then this man who legit has enough children to be in the cast of Sound of Music, has all of his kids sat in nearly every row of first class. #Wealth This man is WRANGLING the kids.

In the midst of me giving Kraft Cheese to the Bridgerton looking man, I hear Sheila “Guys don’t miss the flight.” They started boarding and I had no clue. So we run to the gate, and in Boarding Group 1 we take our seats first on the flight… this is when the foolishness begins

Now at this second lounge, there was a man I swear was a cross between Rege Jean Page and homeboy from Emily in Paris. And not Brandon saying “D look to your left” and I saw that man and started cheesing like Celie in Color Purple. #Respectfully

When we get to the gate, the flight with Air Canada is now delayed 45 mins. So across the hall was an AMEX lounge, and I was like lemme rest my bones and bags in the comfort of this here lounge.

After a chat with him, I realize the magician is STEEL HERE doing tricks behind us the WHOLE TIME. Go AWFF King! Practice that craft! Overstimulated, I decide to dip and head to the gate.

This man lowkey looked like he could be on a Netflix detective series. He went on to tell us he works in the business of “fixing the lives of disgraced celebrities.” I was like: Go AWFF Olivia Pope.

The only reason the magician was on the flight to LAX was to make sure he could stay in the 75k mile club. He legit was flying overseas to maintain his points with Air Canada. So after a few tricks, this other man at the table is like “hey” in a heavy Liverpool accent…

I ❤️ a magic trick and this man was in the Air Canada lounge giving Penn and Teller realness. He was doing card tricks and, I think, he pulled a ballon out of his mouth. However, the lounge had no tequila, so I had vodka on the rocks and I haven’t had vodka straight since 2010.

I get to the business lounge Air Canada and my entire goal was to get some work done. I see my booskie Brandon Scott Jones and some of my other cast members which include Rose McIver and Sheila Carrasco. We kiki for a bit and then this magician comes up to us and starts chatting us up.

I get to Montreal airport and at immigration they know our cast because we have been filming #GhostsCBS in Montreal for 4 years. So getting through the airport was easy breezy. Now when we got to the Air Canada business class lounge that is when the shenanigans begin!

I am three Pinot Grigios in, shall I tell y’all the story of this wild Air Canada flight I am on?
