The (Dreaded) Second Sock The dreaded second sock - it’s like the second sleeve of a jumper, I need to do it to finish the project and yet sometimes it feels like a massive mountain or something! One of those WIPs that I’m trying to finish is a pair of sparkly socks (Yarn: Lana Grossa Meilenweit Christmas with Glitter - 6797). The yarn was bought after a quick dash in to keep dry during a downpour while I waited for the bus to get home.

Eagle Farm South and Glebe Farm by the looks of it. So Kingston isn’t the first “area” you get to any more after leaving the bit where the A421 and M1 run parallel.

I say they’ve “just” but it’s probably happened between now and me leaving the UK… but there is a big “new” estate on the A421 near the big warehouses. MK is still growing even if not a sprawl.

Our Exciting Adventure Across Europe: Day Three Day Three and our first overnight train. I was a little worried I'd get no sleep but actually it turned out not too bad. The night wasn't smooth. At one point the train stopped. We switched carriages or engines, and there was a loud-ish bang through the train. (The boys slept through it). But this is still a great thing about our adventure across Europe - so many new things to experience.

My 4yo was a sweetie and tested it for me. I think it’ll be okay and if it just lasts for this Christmas, it could be passed onto my niece or their cousin (on the other side of the family). Not perfect but I’m sure it’ll be appreciated anyway.

Someone said snow was forecasted for Copenhagen this week. It’s colder than it has been but not enough for snow (…yet!)

The way Bear shouts “Mama!” when I collect him will never get old. One day I’m sure it’ll be more like a “Mama!! You’re so annoying go away!”

Trying out nicknames when I refer to the kids. Not always easy but will try.

Well, this Monday didn’t go to plan. Blueberry (eldest, 10yo) fell at school today and smacked his head. When I collected him, he had an egg like a ping-pong ball on his forehead. 1813 (Danish 101) said we could take him in and get him checked if needed. Otherwise just to observe at home.

I think I have a pair of those shorts sock needles. I just need to get a hang of how to hold them.

Ooh that's pretty yarn! I was working on my Nephew's Christmas Jumper but it's measuring up too small so I need to get my 4yo (he's 9 months younger than Nephew) to try it on and see if I a) risk it and finish, b) frog it and start the same pattern but better or c) go to my "go to" jumper pattern

I love the idea of these! I need to practice my colourwork though - it just ends up too tight especially in socks.
