Hey @simonleewx.com - is it possible to find the past regimes online anywhere? I'm interested in using them as a way to discuss the effects of weather on bird migration... So (for example) having the daily regime from Jul-Dec 2024 is something I'm currently interested in... Thanks in advance!!

Check out our new Polar Vortex Blog! Though parts of the US have been very cold and snowy, experts do not think there's much evidence that the polar vortex is the main driver of our winter weather so far this year. www.climate.gov/news-feature...

This is the kind of weather shenanigans (with reforming lows etc.) that make for really exciting weather-focused birding in the GL's! I'm so excited to see what's out there over the next few days..... #soexcited #birding #wxbirding

A long-ish op-ed style piece from me in Nature, in which I consider the question "how doomed are we?" tl;dr: it's an existential, philosophical, and personal question. It sometimes gets posed as if it were a scientific one, but it mostly isn't. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Hi Signe - can I ask you a question? Are you aware of any work estimating the sea ice extent at the end of the last ice age? Thank you in advance
