On an early morning walk up my local hill, it was very wet and murky. I optimistically had my camera with me, and I was eventually rewarded as the cloud briefly cleared to briefly reveal this scene.

The woods are full of spectacular clusters of fungi at the moment. These little specimens were barely 1 cm tall.

This image shows a cluster of trees on a hillside close to the village of Hawkshead in the Lake District. I had gone for a walk up my local hill and despite it pouring with rain, I had optimistically taken my camera. As I reached the summit there was a brief clearing of the cloud and mist, revealing a patch of light on a group of nearby trees.
