Today, we honour the service of the brave women and men who answered the call.
 
Those who sacrificed years away from loved ones, those who returned from combat forever changed, and those who never came home — the veterans who served in the Canadian Armed Forces.

11 October 1941 | Dutch Jewish boy, Heinrich Lange, was born in Amsterdam.

He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Westerbork in July 1942. He was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection with his mother Berta. His father Hans perished in the camp in September 1942.
