February 18th is Bl. John of Fiesole's feast day! He painted many frescoes during the 1400s. In 2006, two panels of an altarpiece he painted that were presumably lost were discovered in a spare room in Oxford, England. They were bought in California for £100 each in the '60s, then sold for £1.7m.

February 17th is St. Alessio Falconieri's feast day! He and six others are honored today for being the seven founders of the Order of the Servants to Mary in 13th century Florence, Italy. The Seven were wealthy merchants who had given up their livelihoods in servitude to the Blessed Virgin.

February 16th is St. Juliana's feast day! She is the patron saint of sickness. She had refused her arranged marriage and was thus burned in flames, boiled in oil, and beheaded. An alternate torture account describes her talking like one of the dogs that respond to being scolded for causing trouble.

February 15th is St. Walfrid's feast day! St. Walfrid was around in the 8th century and established both a monastery and a convent in Pisa, Italy. His son ran away from the monastery at one point, but he was caught and his right hand was permanently injured. He stayed at the monastery after that.

February 14th is St. Valentine's feast day (and execution date in 269)! He is the patron saint of courtly love (like the medieval idolization of chivalry), Terni (the Italian city of which he was bishop), epilepsy, and beekeepers. His skull is on display in Rome. He was able to cure blindness.
