Exactly the Moors are a Desert and all we get is rubbish from people with a vested interest in shooting telling us how great the moors are. In reality that is not the case as itโ€™s them who decides what lives and what dies.

A walk around the local patch #dalbyforest was particularly quiet. Only a pair of Goshawks brightened the day.
What was noteworthy was no Crossbills in any of the favoured areas. Other birders have noticed this to. They should be nesting in a few weeks. Where are they? @northyorksbirds.bsky.social
