Our latest BTO ringing recoveries inc. a young Chiffchaff ringed at #SkipwithCommon NNR (presumably on passage) on 01/09/25, which was then controlled by ringers just 24 days later, 701 km away in Trunvel, Treogat, Finistรจre, France @yorkbirding.bsky.social

A walk around the local patch #dalbyforest was particularly quiet. Only a pair of Goshawks brightened the day.
What was noteworthy was no Crossbills in any of the favoured areas. Other birders have noticed this to. They should be nesting in a few weeks. Where are they? @northyorksbirds.bsky.social
