been a bit and after getting MH Wilds to the point that I feel (mostly?) satisfied with the balance of graphics & performance, honestly it's fine, just kinda sad playing through low rank alone because I got into MH playing World & Rise with my friends & having fun. At least my hunter is still hot 😊

Flashmods are cool and all but there's a certain charm to hearing the quiet whirring of my iPod 3rd gen's hard drive whenever I take my earphones off

(I have a flashmodded 7th gen for daily use but honestly this clunky thing is way more fun...)

It's running better than I expected (so far), though I do have to play on Medium with upscaling. Seems like I could also swap over to High but I'll have to use the more aggressive Ultra Performance DLSS... My hunter looks great in cutscenes at least

Ended up buying it, but I'll refund within the two hour window if it's still unplayable for me

Do I wait and see how well Monster Hunter Wilds runs on PC or do I give in to FOMO 🤔

I know the final release is more optimized but the beta was so rough on my hardware and the benchmark was quite misleading

I'll check that out next time I'm on Bazzite, I just thought to start from scratch since I already feel like I layered too much extra crap trying to get stuff working 🫠

also performance wasn't that much better in marvel rivals on bazzite, if anything it felt worse tbh, but then again on windows 11 i have a dlss override and i can't see how to do the same thing on bazzite so that might be the main difference

in any case bazzite installed fine after that, but i ran into problems trying to compile a flatpak that i need for wineasio for rocksmith 2014 (github.com/Siarkowy/com...) and i suppose that's where going immutable wasn't quite the best decision... i'll try again with regular fedora this weekend

year of the linux desktop they say but this weekend when i tried to install bazzite, the installer literally wouldnt boot until i unplugged my xbox wireless adapter 🤡
