I see that two of the links for Saturday's big race have already been removed. Forcing cycling fans to endure the blighted linear TV feeds πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Complete with the bloody Breakaway and endless advert breaks to break up the action and rob the race of much of its unique atmosphere.

So disappointing.

According to Google Ai, an astonishing 88% of former GCN and Discovery+ subscribers do NOT subscribe to TNT Sport.

To pay Β£30.99 pm for such a degraded viewing experience just isn't good enough.

Roughly speaking, today's Omloop Het Nieuwsblad features 3 or 4 advert breaks per hour, each break lasting 3m30s.
That's between 10 to 14 minutes of action missed every hour.
The preferable digital option for the race was removed yesterday.

Trump-proof the BBC The BBC is our national broadcaster, we must defend it against those who want to destroy it.

The BBC must be brought to account.

I knew the basic story about Gino many years ago (I've been a cycling fan for 58 years and counting!), but I've learnt a lot more today. Thank you!

β€˜We’re sick of being the story’: what next for the Telegraph after takeover collapses? Media group’s future is again in limbo – and it faces questions over the asking price as well as regulatory hurdles

The BBC have always been biased against me. As I explained in detail during my 38 appearances on BBC Question Time.

Israel-Gaza protests: Tom Pidcock worries for riders targeted by pro-Palestinian protesters Britain's Tom Pidcock says he worries about riders being targeted after extensive pro-Palestinian protests during the Vuelta a Espana.

I've been watching cycling since 1969.
At a slight tangent, it interests me how the BBC always concentrates on negative aspects of our sport. They made a fuss about Tom being 'defeated' at Giro dell'Emilia this week - more fuss than they make when he wins!

I'm sitting here this evening, having just watched the sickening sight of that cunt Netanyahu still issuing threats. I hate those bastards so much.

The thing is that young athletes like Gee live in their own world - a cocoon - I mean that in a good way. We can't curse them for that innocence.

I don't really understand the politics / etiquette of Matt Brennan having to play second fiddle to Olav Kooij.
I've been watching cycling since 1969, so I get it on one level - but surely in his home country, Visma should just let Matt do his thing.
Beating Milan twice last week was VERY impressive!

I really enjoyed your Domestique piece about nicknames.
There are lots from the past of course.

I'm so blooming old I remember the Eagle of Toledo.
Aged about 10, I made quite an impression on the waiters in our holiday hotel in San Feliu.

You're right, what a great ride - and it's been on the cards for quite some time!
Tomorrow (today) I'm going to watch the Giro before I switch to the Tour. I'm a bit miffed I didn't see it live.

At present, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't. Every single news item on the BBC, in the Mail, the Telegraph etc etc - a constant barrage of criticism.
There are posters on X who regularly list the good things they've achieved.
But the usual culprits obsess over the negatives.

I freaked out that day for two reasons:
1) I used to live 150 yards from where the bus was blown up
2) An ex gf worked at the British Library at the time and travelled in each day from South London

I notice that @cyclingontnt on X have also gone to ground today. Not surprised really, they were being absolutely mauled yesterday and again this morning.

TNT Sport needs to be seen to do the right thing here.
This anger isn't going to go away.
