I don’t know what it’s like to be trans…
Because I’m not trans.
Just like I don’t know what it feels like to experience sexual attraction.
Doesn’t mean I deny it exists. It just means I listen to others and accept their reality.

Migrants aren’t the problem.
Disabled folk aren’t the problem.
Trans folk aren’t the problem.
People in poverty aren’t the problem.
People of Colour aren’t the problem.
Muslim folk aren’t the problem.
These groups are all being scapegoated by those who actually are the problem.
Some with stomas can live totally “normal” lives.
Others can have severe and constant restrictions on just about everything.
For some, a stoma is “curative”.
For others, it’s just symptom management.
And for others it is simply a necessity that doesn’t help with anything else.
Anti-trans folk talk to trans people in exactly the same way that misogynistic men talk to cis women…
Quite telling really isn’t it…
Having a stoma is so different to having a “normal” bowel.
I can’t “hold” stuff in.
I can’t push stuff out.
I have no control over when things work, or how much.
I can’t just push a good fart out to ease pressure.
All the things you take for granted.
It means that lockdowns brought out what was there all along but was being hidden by masking and coping mechanisms, all of which got stripped away overnight
05.12.2025 15:22 — 👍 24 🔁 4 💬 0 📌 0Lockdowns etc… took away the coping and masking mechanisms of many Autistic and ADHD folk.
This may have been the first time they realised they’d been masking their entire lives, and their traits suddenly became super pronounced.
That doesn’t mean lockdowns caused it…
“I worked with children and can tell you ADHD and Autism are over diagnosed”
No… no you can’t, actually.
You’re just using your own “experience” and attaching it to your bias and prejudice about what you *think* ADHD and Autism “look like”.
Begging people to try and understand that when we are struggling with physical symptoms and health conditions, it’s not just a feeling or a mental health issue…
It’s our bodies failings us, and it’s not a simple feeling that will pass.
If something helps you… I’m super happy for you.
But that doesn’t mean it’ll help everyone (or anyone) else.
Saying what helps you = valid.
Preaching or giving unsolicited advice = not.
Every Autistic person has always been Autistic.
Every ADHD person has always been ADHD.
(Same for AuDHD)
This is true even if they’re never diagnosed.
More authoritarianism from an authoritarian government

ADHD is categorically NOT “over diagnosed”
Actually, only about 1 in 9 ADHD folk have a diagnosis.
But don’t let those facts get in the way of your bias.
“Bring back the good old days”, they say…
Ah those “good old days”, when marital rape wasn’t recognised, abortion was banned, etc…
When disabled folk were shoved into asylums and “not seen or heard”…
When childhood mortality was several times more than now…
Those “good old days”…?
…when literally the first thing I thought and said upon waking from surgery was “This is different”…
Yeah, it is.
So this is why I push back when people say “It’ll get better”, and “you’ll find a way”.
Because honestly, I might not.
5/5
So when I say that things are very different and will remain so, and I’ll struggle to cope, it’s not based on emotion or speculation.
It’s based on the medical and physiological reality.
When a stoma nurse says “that’s a weird one”, and…
4/5
…the stoma if I do it a lot.
Add to this that my functional bowel issues have worsened significantly since my first op to form the stoma, and it results in things being very different and wholescale changes to how I try to manage…
3/5
strange stoma which dips in the middle, is surrounded at the bottom by exposed scar tissue, and the opening isn’t a hole, but more like a postbox slit.
All this means that it doesn’t work “normally”, and also irrigation won’t be possible regularly as it’ll damage…
2/5
The operation to revise my stoma involved more than they had original planned.
My prolapse was worse an prone to happening again pretty quickly.
So he’s wrapped a load of scar tissue around the stoma to try and “plug” it in.
However that results in a very tight, very…

Yes it’s tedious & exhausting.
No there’s no choice.
If I don’t do these things, I end up in immense pain, my bag leaking, and unable to eat anything.
But sure, we’re all just living the high life and all that.
(This is before you look at symptoms and my other conditions).
3/3
Add to that taking a long time to prepare food due to mobility issues etc…
And having to spend 10-15 mins, 4 times per day emptying my bag… and 20 mins each morning changing it…
That becomes AT LEAST 8 hours each day gone, before I can even do anything.
Yes it’s boring.
2/3
For those who think being disabled is just sitting at home all day having a nice time… Consider this:
I have to spend at least 30 mins before and 30 mins after eating rolling on the floor, massaging, etc… to make my bowels work.
Also have to eat super slowly to process it.
1/3
Swear that some abled folk think we just go to the GP and leave with disability benefits…
Couldn’t be further from the reality.
No, you can’t tell who is “genuinely disabled” just by looking at them or seeing them sporadically.
And if you use the term “genuinely disabled” in an attempt to segregate disabled people… please just fuck off, because you clearly don’t care about us
Transphobes are vicious, cruel, utter pieces of shit who just want to harm trans folk…
They’re aligned with the far right, and the worst misogynists in society.
They’re on the wrong side of history, and much is just recycled homophobia.
They’re also often racist & ableist too
This update includes information you may find upsetting. Please take care when reading. From today, it is with a heavy heart that we announce trans girls will no longer be able to join Girlguiding. This is a decision we would have preferred not to make, and we know that this may be upsetting for members of our community. There will be no immediate changes for current young members, but more information will be shared soon. Most adult roles - including unit helpers, district helpers and administrative support - are already open to all, so we are confident that no volunteers will have to leave the organisation. Girlguiding believes strongly in inclusion, and we will continue to support young people and adults in marginalised groups. Over the next few months, we will explore opportunities to champion this value and actively support young people who need us. We stand in solidarity with trans girls and women.
i hope every single person who still buys harry potter merch or engages with that franchise is happy that they're literally making girl guides cry
girl guides uk have been forced very much against their will to exclude trans girls. full statement is here: www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-...
The way people get so angry at those who simply… follow the rules and laws of the road when driving… is wild.
They’re the same ones who are “outraged” that a disabled person can have a nice car.
They see driving as a divine right & status symbol, rather than simple transport.
Honestly, people need to educate themselves on things they don’t understand before getting angry about those things…
It’s fucking exhausting seeing all the hate that is based on pure ignorance and misinformation.
I definitely won’t be, and glad I didn’t in 2024 tbh
02.12.2025 09:30 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The Government sees it as a “moral duty” to cut disability benefits.
I see it as a moral duty to call them ableist pieces of shit who want to kill disabled people.
The real moral duty should be to end poverty and tax the rich
