Two adult mute swans on water. Both have seaweed, or maybe some sort.od algae, around their necks. They'd both been feeding in algae below the surface. Neither appeared distressed by their natural adornments.

All the hip swans are wearing seaweed necklaces.

Any remaining burnt bits are just happy aide-memoires of a good massage 😜

I've just had a massage, which I think may've been the best of my life, but I'm so flaming woozy from it, I can't think straight enough to be sure. 😆

It was a "sports massage". It was therapeutic for my stupid rotator cuff. It was vicious and very, very painful. It was amazing.

I'm too upset to fight.

The chap did, at least, before he tried to sell me everything, explain how I could keep the cost for the TdF to "just" £31 with careful subscription planning. Mum and I really enjoy chatting about it, so I'll see how I feel next June...

My question to Sky about watching the Tour de France next year became an excessively complex discussion about tv, broadband, landline and mobile. All I know is, if I spend hours of my life constantly researching this nonsense, I could save money. So tedious that companies create this work for us.

I don't understand how young people are cleaning underneath their nails after any sort of mucky manual effort.

Saw our street's baby seagull in the Co-op car park. Well, he's a teenager now, chucked out of home a while back. He was trying to eat a piece of polystyrene.

Bowls filled with sweet little apples and two varieties of cherry plums.

Look at what my colleagues grew in their gardens! There was, apparently, an abundance of apples and plums this year, so I get free food. Yum. Chips and plums for tea!

I asked a Superdrug shop assistant where the nail brushes were. He looked blankly and pointed to the cuticle sticks and whatnot. I wandered off. About a minute later he finds me and, proudly wielding a nail brush, asks, "Is this the thing you want?"

So then. Nail brushes? Just for oldies or what?

I'm having a flamenco break until 6th September. No classes, no workshops, no shows, no planning flamenco trips, no examining footwork videos, no chatting about favourite palos. Nothing.

My body is tired and my passion is waning slightly (after 16 years), so a break will do me good.

A great big dredger ship thing is seemingly heading straight for a harbour wall. You can just about see some of the dredging activity in the centre of the ship... it was both smelly and noisy.

The dredger makes it through. From this angle it looks as though it was easy, but this thing was BIG and the turning angle was AWKWARD and NARROW. Nice work, Drive!

Some pretty nifty manoeuvring by the dredger down Cardiff Bay Barrage harbour this morning. Tidy.
