Bit weird how pushback against ill-informed or biased views is seen as more of an issue than aggressively right-wing agitators feeling vindicated and emboldened. Bit strange that so many people seem more comfortable with creeping fascism than with being asked to be decent about vulnerable groups.

Agreed. Fwiw, the DSM-5 autism assessment scoring generally has 3 categories of Absent, Sub-Threshold, and Present for traits and behaviours.

An overall score matching a 'sub-threshold' average is sometimes enough for diagnosis, if clinical observations or info from childhood supports it
