Related to the news - when the coup was happening that night, I was on the phone with my parents, and my dad was clearly not taking it very seriously, which I found a bit shocking. He literally went to bed, saying this was an “unserious” coup. I asked him recently why he was so flippant that night.

Have to admit I’m a little irritated at the ruling atm, not bc I want the state to execute Yoon but bc the judge gave some dumbfuck reasons for lessening the sentence to life imprisonment (he’s old! the coup was badly planned! poor Yoon!)
