Trump Officials Blame Mistake for Setting Off Confrontation With Harvard An official on the administration’s antisemitism task force told the university that a letter of demands had been sent without authorization.

So the White House story is now:

“We didn’t mean to threaten Harvard, because we didn’t mean to send the threatening letter we sent, but when Harvard rejected the threats we made but didn’t mean to make, we decided to threaten them twice more.”

The country is now run by thugs and idiots.

You forgot the giant tax cut for the rich that was passed, that will blow out the deficit by trillions. Even if they dismantled all social services & cut all programs, it would barely make a dent in the new deficit. It's perverse politicians funnel money you the rich & expect the poor to pay taxes.

Planning a trip to Trump’s America? I need to change your mind The land of the free is far from the exciting, welcoming country it once was. Trump’s autocracy now greets you at the border.

Funny how there’s silence and no dire warnings of blackouts when a relatively new coal fired power station goes offline due to a major failure

Australia’s next government may be Great Barrier Reef’s last chance after sixth mass bleaching, conservationist says Consecutive and severe bleaching is ‘fundamentally changing’ nature of reef, the International Coral Reef Society says * Get our afternoon election email, free app or daily news podcast The Great Barrier Reef was hit by a sixth widespread coral bleaching event since 2016 this summer – the second time the world’s biggest coral reef has seen the phenomenon strike in back-to-back years – according to government authorities. This week a senior LNP member repeated a Trump slogan - & has been seen in a MAGA hat

Numerous Liberal Party members are preferencing an extreme christian party & One Nation

But - there is little to no media focus on this.

We are badly let down by the 4th estate #auspol

America, as an entity, has become a gangrenous mass. Subverting decency, subverting Christianity, subverting democracy, subverting the constitution, subverting the rule of law, just so a hateful minority can get their rocks off and the elite can grab power. Treat the gangrene or die.

I wonder how the Supreme Court feels about granting Donald Trump immunity for official acts now that one of those official acts is telling the Supreme Court to shove their ruling and fuck the fuck off.

It was never about antisemitism From abducting college students to an attack on a Jewish governor, Trump’s real motivations remain clear.

It was never about ….

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

When Andrew Tate was charged with rape and human trafficking, Trump intervened to fly him back to the US.

When a working-class father of a disabled 5-year-old child was wrongfully deported and charged with NO crime, Trump refuses to lift a finger.

Every word uttered by Temu Trump continues to increase my rage. He is desperate to whore himself out to the highest bidder like the original orange peril...but he forgets that Aussies have mandatory voting and preferential voting. His policies will bury him. Very few will put him first or second.

The rise of fascism always follows the same course. It could be considered monotonous in its predictability, if the outcomes of these actions/policies weren't so horrific.
