Been getting back into creative coding and generative art over the last week via Processing and p5js. This came from a course by Tim Rodenbröker that I’m following. Great instructor. I forgot how much fun it is to just tinker around in these environments.

Wow, what a treat! Finally getting recommended good music on YouTube. This song goes so many places. Starts off like it could be a standard pop anthem, but the switchups throughout keep it super interesting. Beautiful voice and great melodies. Really wish I understood German

Yeah, wayy better air out here hahah. No animals, but our neighbors have cows and horses. I think it might be too cold for the bats out here since we’re pretty high up in the mountains. Medellin had way more bats. One of things I miss, actually lol

Thanks! No gigs yet, but working with a drummer in hopes of gigging soon! And yeah, about a year ago, we moved out to a little finca about an hour outside the city. Way more peaceful lol

Been awhile since I’ve lugged gear around to jam/perform. Feeling very blessed to have the time for this as well as super cool people to play with, especially living out in the middle of nowhere in a different country than where I was born.

Takes so much planning to be full euro live, but the FX are super fun (and way easier to manage lol)

Since getting back in the swing of things, I’ve decided I wanna add some more outboard processing, so I’ve got a small 64HP pod of eurorack FX as well as the SP404MK2. Very different from my writing setup since I’m finding I like experimenting with hardware and sampling to make most of my material

Currently reconfiguring my live setup after a long hiatus, but I keep things ableton-based launching clips via the APC40 MK2 and controlling FX via the DJTT MIDI Fighter Twister. Also use some kind of foot controller for looping bass.

lol that’s basically exactly what I’ve been thinking. I think at a certain point, you just have to kind of accept that you can’t do everything on stage and that in many ways, solo projects can serve as a means to find future collaborators.
