Seen all of them, mostly because I have seen every Jason Statham movie ever, and I have a kid who is the world's biggest shark movie fan so we have seen the Meg at least 12 times.

20.02.2026 03:43 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Taking to the streets does not matter. The actual government doesn't care whatsoever, and everyone who voted for Trump will never see it, they are in complete information silos. The last time taking to the streets actually mattered from a policy perspective was Vietnam; there were three tv stations.
19.02.2026 01:17 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0So I assume there has been no rain of consequence? Because at least where I live, you'd probably be dead by now....
18.02.2026 15:04 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I am an elder millennial living in a very blue area that is highly educated and I don't know literally anyone my age or younger who watches broadcast news. I don't think I have since it was on when I was a kid. I have to wonder if that plays a role

02.02.2026 21:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The well educated Trump supporters I know at this juncture are either the kind of rich that is willing to do anything to stay that way or have gone off the MAHA deep end and appeared to think it's completely fine to do absolutely anything in the spirit of freaking beef tallow.
29.01.2026 16:05 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My AP US history teacher back in the 90s used to tell us that 90+ percent of people are stupid and because we all lived in a bubble of highly educated parents in a highly educated blue community, we genuinely thought he was exaggerating. He was not.
29.01.2026 16:03 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0There was nothing more stupid than listening to Tom Brady say that the wind might affect deep passes like it was some sort of sacred wisdom.

08.01.2026 04:25 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This was our first Netflix binge, rushing back-and-forth to the mailbox mailing discs back-and-forth to try to catch up to the fourth season that was going to start airing about a month after we started. We were newly married, no kids, just absolutely binging and it's still one of my favorites
07.01.2026 21:45 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It's honestly not too challenging. We did it in a very leisurely four days and it's so much fun.
07.01.2026 04:00 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So my husband and I are in the top 5%, which means we stop paying in in August. That is the insane disparity between the top earners in this country and the next level down. We worry about college and our mortgage and all of those things and we know that we are lucky.
03.01.2026 02:35 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We are almost there! I think it will end up taking us three days off and on but with the full clarification that my husband is an absolute LEGO savant

01.12.2025 03:32 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The solution to Shein is that you don't buy it. There are near infinite alternatives. We were talking about very small authors who are able to use Amazon as a platform to sell because bookstores are extremely particular and have limited stock.
20.11.2025 15:12 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0No, you can't. Here and there, highly genre specific, but the vast majority of small authors are unfortunately trapped with Amazon for any kind of sales. I live in one of the most highly literate parts of the country and we still only have so many small bookstores and they can only feature so many
20.11.2025 01:21 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0So I actually concur that gap hoodies are pretty high-quality, but those aren't available at sports tournaments or from high school sports teams, etc.. Your choices are Nike or something like Baden and the latter just fall apart within a year so now I just always buy the Nike.
13.11.2025 14:56 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0As a veteran sport parent, I learned a very long time ago that buying the cheaper hoodie was the worst option. The sleeves were too short, the shoulders didn't fit, and they fell apart in a year. When we sprung for the higher quality hoodie for the team, it was always the better option

12.11.2025 18:51 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0My son was bitten by a rattlesnake on vacation in an area that was not supposed to have rattlesnakes and so far the bills before insurance have totaled $350,000. Anyone who thinks you can just put some money in a kitty for that is insane.
11.11.2025 04:57 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I have never set foot in a Walmart in my life. It does help to live in a place that is extremely hostile to them generally and I would have to drive out of my way to find one
10.11.2025 19:01 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0And way cheaper! Our local pharmacy went under and I started using Costco for everything that's not mail order and I was shocked that almost everything is coming in under co-pay, which never used to happen. They also keep real pseudoephedrine behind the counter for like a buck 50

06.11.2025 19:51 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This obviously depends where you live, we had almost no races of note in my (deep blue) jurisdiction but to the best of my ability in the single school board race with two pretty solid candidates I did pick the one I thought was slightly better.
