That's exactly how his first impeachment went - the Senate voted to not see evidence for his removal, then since they didn't have sufficient evidence for removal (because they voted *not* to look at it), he wasn't removed from office.

My mom voted for Trump on abortion - despite the fact that he's paid women to have them. My dad voted for Trump because of guns - despite the fact that he had more gun legislation overturned at the Supreme Court than any Democrat. It's a complete and total mindfuck to me.

This 1939 government map about the Public Works Administration has been rattling through my brain recently. The PWA projects are such a fixture in American life that people don't even realize they're all around us.

Haven't been able to talk to my older relatives in over a decade about politics - the discussion always gets shut down immediately if *any* differing opinions get brought up. It's made it so that, as my older relatives get older, I don't feel like I know them; their hopes, dreams, or fears.
