My state of the union

Bishop Barron has immigrants in his diocese and state in fear and hiding, struggling to pay rent because of the terror ICE has brought on our community. Maybe instead of funding a ministry that plays with the rich and famous, consider donating at standwithminnesota.com

This is like if 2/3 of the people in Wyoming fled the state.

Catholics often strip LGBTQ+ people of our vocational options and drive us to despair. We need a better way. And we believe LGBTQ+ Catholics (and even ex-Catholics) should be at the forefront of laying the groundwork for it.

A lot of “orthodox” Catholics talk about chastity in ways that are actually contradicted in the Catechism. If we actually read the text, we might find that the Church has a lot of encouragement and hope for LGBTQ+ people in her teachings on chastity.

Pope Leo Will Spend July 4 Visiting Migrant Crossing Island Pope Leo has spoken out against the treatment of migrants in the United States several times over the last year.

JD Vance personally invited Pope Leo to the U.S. 250th celebration on the 4th of July. Today the Vatican announced Leo will be spending the day with migrants instead.

I’m just thinking about the mindset involved if I were to set up a certificate in “the evangelical ethos of Chris Damian” and I am 💀 😂

When Catholics lean too heavily into the culture wars, we risk erasing our own history, including the lives of the saints. The reality of the Church is much more complex than what common talking points suggest.

Many have been driven by “chastity” messages in the Church that let them to misinterpret their desires, get married, and then realize they’re actually gay. I’ve seen this play out in infidelity and divorce. And I talk about this because I don’t want others to have to go through it.
