Please join the Bodily Autonomy Working Group for our DC Abortion Access Teach-In on Thursday, November 20th, at 7 PM at MLK Library and on zoom. Masks are mandatory to attend the in person event, and we will be meeting after at Rocket Bar! bit.ly/BAWGTeachIn

Accessibility information: Unfortunately, as you are. DC is not wheelchair accessible. Their doors are easy to open, however, they do not automatically open. Please reach out if you need assistance opening the front doors and we will station a volunteer. (6/6)

We ask that participants only remove their mask to take a sip/bite when actively drinking/eating and put it back on after. While we highly encourage attendees to bring their own masks, we will provide KN-95 masks and have mask bracket inserts to make dancing easier. (4/6)

Protect our trans siblings! No cuts to Medicaid and SNAP! Your Senators need to hear from you immediately that we won’t stand for any cuts to gender affirming care, Medicaid, and SNAP! Late Wednesday night the U.S. House of Representatives passed HR 1, a spending bill that would prohibit transgender people of any age from accessing gender-affirming care through Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). This impacts 276,000+ transgender people currently enrolled in Medicaid. That’s 1 in 5 trans adults. The bill also contains the huge tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans while making the largest cuts to Medicaid and SNAP - ever. This legislation will rip healthcare and food from our families to line the pockets of the mega-rich.
