i think it's possible, official scorers in little league (which is to say, moms and dads) tend to be *very* hitter friendly.

I'm not sure that quite corresponds to tearing a muscle, but I've also never lost a sibling, either.

Partial quad tear might have been behind Elly's 2nd-half slide Entering 2025, Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz was coming off a tremendous season in which he hit 25 home runs and stole an MLB-leading 67 bases in his first full Major League campaign. With his phenom...

and also was playing through a torn quad? pretty tempted to write off his second half entirely at this point.

I agree. But Dubon > Allen in my eyes, even if neither is ideal.

So you can just decide not to share important data from October? I can think of a lot of recent playoff flameouts who would be excited to know about that.

I don't think I'd say same level of D. Allen was elite.

But Dubon is a better hitter and a more versatile fielder, so he fits better if/when a different SS is acquired. Allen wouldn't.

Yeah. I'm talking about the other side, mostly.

Looks like there's a $4m salary difference, I guess is most of it.

If a team desperate for starting pitching is willing to part with a young talented starter who's had plenty of injury problems, it tells you a lot about how they view his medicals

The draft pick rule has helped with that issue considerably.

Mostly I don't see this as being indicative of any real industry or financial trend

Most years, 1-2 guys accept. Several of those who didn't probably wish they had. All 4 who did today have massive question marks in their profile.

Don't agree at all here. I think they're correctly worried he may not be that good. I think that he's willing to come back and not test the marker is telling.

The Grisham one is particularly interesting, because I see both "why did the Yankees even offer it?!?!" and also "I can't believe he took it, this was a career year!" and if both of those things are true, then .. he probably made the right choice.

18.11.2025 21:16 β€” πŸ‘ 32    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 7    πŸ“Œ 1

Not at all surprised Grisham and Woodruff took the QO. I'd have been stunned if they didn't.

Mildly surprised with Torres

Really have not the slightest idea what to make of Imanaga right now.
