I think them days are gone.

I know I just made a vegetable curry a few weeks ago but I had to make more today because we got a surprise harvest of tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant from a neglected corner of the yard.

My (very Southern/white) wife went to the South Asian market trying to buy jalebi but she kept asking for gulab jamun because she got the names mixed up, lol.

They don’t even sell gulab jamun, the checkout lady must have been so confused, lol.

That was such an embarrassing period for some folks. Getting on talk shows with pictures of their ugly ass apes.

We’re cookin’! Bitter gourd and matchstick potatoes finished with green chili peppers and cilantro.

My wife thought I was crazy when I started sprinkling tajin on my popcorn, then she actually tasted it and became a believer.

Anything works as long as it avoids looking at the news

3D printers have come so far in the last few years. It’s just amazing, and so convenient that I’ve got a looong list of things to print.

Mostly practical too.

The double standard is astounding

Made big pot of vegetable curry because why not? Potatoes, tomatoes, green beans, cauliflower, eggplant.

Anyways, here’s some tender ribs I smoked a while back.

Yea, we did some wagyu once and I rendered all that fat down in the smoker. That brisket was artery clogging good.

You can pack a lot of bacon on a 2 burner griddle. Not enough bacon, but still a lot.

So the BBQ went well, but I’m trimming more fat off the next brisket. I know they say it’s flavor but that was too much fat left over.

Sunday brunch today was the chickpeas, dal puri, and mughlai paratha. Followed by a nap bc cooking all this was a lot of work.

Felt froggy, started Sunday by making a big pan of curry chickpeas.

Two years ago recruiters didn’t think I was worth a damn, but now I get regular contacts about Sr Engineer positions.

IDK what I did, but it’s working.
