I'm excited to be participating in @fldrupal.camp later this month. Lots of great sessions!

I'll be leading "Back(drop) to the Future" to outline some reasons that make Backdrop a great choice for certain types of projects.

Transfer complete and password updated. I realized afterward that Bluesky has "App Passwords" that I should have used instead. But overall, very pleased! Nice to have this bit of my history preserved.

(Yes you need to give them your bsky.app password πŸ˜“, best do it now while there's not much at stake)

BlueArk The new blue land is waiting for you. Bring your stories with BlueArk.

I was informed by friend @sugaroverflow.com that I can import my Twitter history via blueark.app. Her feed looks comprehensive so I'm giving it a shot. Don't mind the 3 year gap since I last tweeted.

Probably not... I tried 3 separate times and it's just so darn clunky. If tech people can't figure it out, it's not going to reach critical mass. The Fediverse tech needs to be invisible, but in Mastodon it's in your face all the time. Bsky isn't immune to capitalism but it's at least resistant.

Hello Bluesky! I heard there's a lot more activity here recently so I'm checking in. Can't wait to put years of content on a new platform that will eventually succumb to capitalism.

At Backdrop LIVE last month we had a great discussion on branding Backdrop CMS as "Drupal Classic". While that seems unlikely, @StPaulTim wrote up an excellent thought-piece on how Drupal and Backdrop have common ground for helping D7 users:...

By directly supporting the most popular contrib reference solution from both Drupal 7 and existing Backdrop sites, we hope to continue to make #BackdropCMS the easiest solution for long-term, continuous support for D7 sites.

And regarding project velocity, Drupal has possibly the largest software community in the world. That enables both massive changes and requires bureaucracy. It depends on the change, in many cases Backdrop is faster fix things than Drupal even with it's smaller community.
