Okay actually another pet peeve why do MORE islands spawn the LESS players there are that’s crazy and AAAAAA I 100%ed Road Trip let me find and collect the ******** parts as I please BUT NO!!!! It’s always ***, ***, ***!!!! I’m so sick of that machine now AAAAAAA!!!!!!

I don’t even remember the last time I saw “cracked boxes” like oagh I’m so mad idk I just wish the events were more “eventful” because they’re what makes city trial so interesting otherwise you just end up doing the same thing every time

The event appearance rate felt more balanced in the test ride and I think that’s because it only had 10 or so events so every match felt exciting with short races, chests, and Dyna Blade, but now the average city trial match feels like “garage, slippery floor, maybe Gordos or meteors”

The original only had 16 events which made the appearance rate feel more even and a lot of them had something substantial going on, Air Riders has 40 and a lot of them are absurdly rare, I’ve played for 50 hours and have only seen the halberd once

It wouldn’t be so bad if City Trial as a concept didn’t depend so much on randomness and unpredictability but so many of these events are so underwhelming and it feels weird to go “I hope this City Trial is more eventful than the last one” when starting a match

I’m just gonna say it cause I spent the last 5 hours doing checklist grinding in Air Riders but I think a lot of these field events are kind of boring like idk if anyone is excited about “vehicles appearing in the garage” or “the floor is slippery” and especially “increased dash panels”

If they really wanted to have an animal character I think a dugong or a manatee would’ve been better because of the myths of them being mistaken for mermaids
