Today's productivity: not much. Was in a funky daze all day. But I DID finish a query draft and some character redesigns, in case I want to shop it around. Sometimes you write a pitch to distill and refine a story idea, ands it takes your story and characters into a totally different direction.

Graphic novel pitch tip! when making the pitch, lean into the visual aspect: include small visual "pins" to punctuate each story or plot beat. My visuals are 4x6 inch sketches mounted on Google slides.The technique helps me visualize the story more than mere text would.

Majohn Craftsman P140 - a piston demonstrator fountain pen with an excellent slightly bouncy #8 "Sun" nib and an ebonite feed. Paired with a custom #8 Jinhao ultraflex nib from 365 Days, this is one mean flex pen meant to be tamed...or is it meant to tame *you*?

Lemon M1- a (brass?) piston filler fountain pen with a wide variety of nib width options, including massive 1.7 mm widths. Almost too much, even for me, so I switched the nib with a more manageable Jowo BB. The enamel lemon on the cap is a cute touch.

*Jinhao 9019*- a #8 nib demonstrator with a massive converter. The nib is fine, but it shines with a Kanwrite Flex, Noodlers, or Neponset nib: perfect ink flow that never stalls or puddles. Pair them, and you have a massive fountain pen indistinguishable from a felt marker. Yum.

*Noodlers Neponset*- much maligned, but fantastic bargains for their modular nature *if bought cheaply aftermarket*. They'll take almost any #6 nib. This one has a Chinese Broad Architect nib.

*Kanwrite Legacy*- with sizeable converters and ebonite feeds, these fountain pens are wonderful wet pens that take a wide variety of nibs. They are gushers and pair fantastically with thirsty FPR/ Kanwrite ultraflex nibs, or any B/BB nib, and Kanwrite BBB nibs.

I thought 2025 would be the year I achieved fountain pen peace, that I was done and could finally close my pen fund.

Obviously, that didn't happen.

Testing my flex fountain pens and waterproof inks on this new Potentate sketchbook and as usual, loving the paper. Feathering is none to minimal with inks that usually feather and bleed. Probably because of the hot press cotton paper.

Neither is my local comic shop, it seems. I'm trying to convince them to stock more BL and even volunteered to research the juiciest and/ or bestselling titles. Still waiting for their call.
