The tricky part is that I have to make some of them fit well for more than one item/purpose in the game - and this requires a lot of testing

A single 2D action with multiple footstep sounds in fmod.
Parameter Surface ID sets the volume of each multi instrument realted to a surface type (dirt, grass, stone, mud and sand), going from 1 to 5.
The seek modulator is used along to avoid abrupt changes.

Simpler sounds like UI, blocks and effects are usually fast to create so I decided to start with them.
I've been thinking about making a wavebank resource-pack for #terraria during my free time. Now that the new update came out it might be the perfect time to start, but I just found that the game now has more than 800 individual sound files π
Recreating each one from scratch will take some time haha

Have you tried using something like simple particles or stars for the background and then fade them away when zooming into the map?
Maybe that could help to fill it without causing clutter.
It's been interesting to use so far and has a lot of good tools, but sometimes it crashes out of nowhere on my pc though.
Not sure if it's a bug, an issue with my gpu drivers or something else, I'm still trying to figure it out before deciding if I'm gonna stay with it or not haha
I used Camtasia 9 in 2018/2020, back when I made my old yt channel, then I switched to Hitfilm in 2021 after getting my current pc and now I'm trying to learn kdenlive.
I also used the old windows xp movie maker when I was 12 for random stuff π
I made a simulation of a noisy receiver in fmod, using 2 parameters:
Tuner - scrolls through the freq. bands (and the background noise is ducked when one is loud enough).
Ionospheric Reflection - adds the unstable flanger effect.

A simple event for a gas cylinder rolling on the ground. Only one parameter is used for the speed - the pitch and overall volume gets a small increase depending on how fast it's going.

A lightning struck near my house today. It's not the first time, but now the bang was so loud it made a crack in one of the glass panels in my window π
Thankfully nothing serious happened besides the jumpscare. I always unplug everything from the outlets when the rain is strong, so my stuff is ok
I made another test this morning - A city ambiance with diverse traffic elements, jackhammer in the background and parameters for adjusting how close to it you are and the volume of people talking

Practicing some FMOD again - I made a rain amb. with parameters for intensity, wind, thunder and a lowpass filter with the recording of rain drops on a ceramic roof - creating an indoor effect.
I also learned how to smooth the parameter changes.

PC parts are getting very expensive where I live, but I finally got a better GPU π(8gb rx 7600 - I also bought a new ryzen 5 CPU but it hasn't arrived yet).
Was playing with the recording of a balloon deflating and decided to put auto-tune on it out of curiosity.
