Well the crosswalk was clear when I entered it this morning (after 3 cars didn't stop while I was waiting) but someone came flying down the street and I had to stop mid crosswalk with my arms waving in the air to make sure they stopped in time. But sure. Shared responsibility.

Well the crosswalk light at Gottingen and Cunard doesn't work, three drivers didn't stop while I was waiting to enter the crosswalk this morning, and then a driver from the other side almost hit me because they were driving way too fast and almost didn't stop, but sure, shared responsibility.

Three cars didn't stop this morning while I waited to cross on Gottingen, then when I was in the crosswalk another car came blasting down the road and I had to stop in the middle of the crosswalk to make sure they were actually stopping because it really didn't look like they were going to.

@hfxtransit.bsky.social what's up with the 51 Route? Three times in one week busses just haven't shown up during peak commute times (last Wed 8am, today 8am, last Thur two 51As in a row didn't show up from 4-5pm. The app didn't reflect the no shows? Hard to rely on this for getting to work on time!

The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada has learned this morning, Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, that Dr. Jane Goodall DBE, UN Messenger of Peace and Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, has passed away due to natural causes.

She was in California as part of her speaking tour in the United States.
