yes! i think the implication is that a bunch of the things messed up like healthcare costs and housing costs are the way they are via political lobbying, which companies and rich people do with their excess wealth to protect their interests

wealth hoarding is an unstable system that has historically destroyed itself and will continue to destroy itself. the only stable system is for everyone to share resources equitably.

how to stop societal collapse? the author recommends this one easy fix: cap wealth at $10 million.

also: “If you want to save the world then the first step is to stop destroying it... Don’t work for big tech, arms manufacturers or the fossil fuel industry…share power whenever you can.”

second is that even the idea of civilizations is propaganda: hunter gatherer societies are egalitarian and the average person is better off in that scheme, and most civilizations were a regression in terms of the life of the average person, only better for the ruling class

summarizes a bunch of the things i’ve been thinking about lately.

one is that economic equality/fair resource distribution is possible but that we’ve been too brainwashed into accepting the current state of things as unchangeable, which benefits the ruling class
