I want to just kind of learn things here and there with FreeBSD, learn how to use a compositor and window manager without a desktop environment. The desktop environments I can use on my other computers. Maybe I'll learn a bit more about how ZFS works, too.

I also at one point was having some trouble getting the most recent stable version of LilyPond back on another computer. Some had an old version (Debian), some had the unstable version. FreeBSD had the latest stable version. That was good. And with it and lyluatex, I completed an assignment.

It's not the operating system I use the most at home, but I still keep it on my older laptop. Being as it drops you into a console instead of a desktop environment by default, there are plenty of opportunities for increasing computer literacy.

When the CrowdStrike incident occurred, I knew Linux wasn't affected, but Windows was. I wondered, "is there an alternative even to Linux?" There is, and that's FreeBSD.

Yeah, those are pretty short, because the individual frames are simply drawn all around the actual vinyl itself. But yeah, it probably would take a while!
