Now I'm drinking a beer on the porch because this time next week this time of day will be dark.

Tractor dude is Michelle's husband. He said she's feeling really good about things.

It is! And days like today drive home the extent to which I do NOT need my own tractor. I got 4 years worth of manure moved around and it cost me $100 because it only took him < 90 mins.

Another awesome thing about today is I got my tractor dude to come over and deconstruct the manure pile. Holy hell there is some beautiful compost in there. Got my beds filled for flowers and next year's veg sorted.

Happiest country mouse right now.

And today I started on fall yard work. This is the first time in months I've been able to get a shovel in the ground so the perennials I've been barely keeping alive all year are in the ground.

My weekend officially started Friday when I met up with @michellemccann.bsky.social after an appointment. That was amazing and everything else surrounding that context just fills my heart.

Saturday I trimmed hooves and had a great 3rd ride on my new girl. Gosh she's brave and cool.

Oh shit yeah that's amazing. Very WE vibes tho. Has to be.
