it's hard but its part of the growing relationship between you, your work, and self-discovery. Part of it for me was decoupling my passion art from income, but therapy, unsaddling myself with performance-driven expectations, and social media boundaries made a huge difference.

Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).

Almost every single one was a case of 'lets start and just roll with it' and that's neat

reminder for people who run a patreon: their autopilot spammer is due to kick on automatically on sept 30. Disable it here, unless you actually want to spam your patrons with automated sales tactics.

dang you really redrew most of it at the new angle too

patreon will likely get the pages before anyone else, but I'm working currently to do the strips entirely so I can do quality checks on the overall presentation rather than upload as I go. Pardon if that makes the wait longer, but I imagine if I take time to do this right, it'll be better for it.

She's done! My Hornet piece is done!

I did, add more of my style to her but overall I think it came out great. I also tried to make her a bit sexy since in game it is hinted that she's an attractive woman.

Poor girl has to smack some pervs in game.
