Very friendly spot - the occasional small gig and DJs etc. and their own cafe a couple of doors down. Not overflowing with records but some good bits and pieces and I've picked up the odd bargain now and then. There's a new bar in Brixton Village that I think is run by the same folk?

It was very tenuous - I hadn't a clue TBH but there was a question that related to stress and anxiety and how the body might react and I used a verse or 3 to illustrate teenage angst.

Ah no - these were all North (I'm from South!). My usual haunts are Crystal Palace, Tooting, Brixton - but anywhere that TFL goes I will!

I once shoehorned the lyrics into a Biology mock O Level exam. Dr Pratt (bless him) wasn't convinced and the 32% mark was probably generous. A "D" followed the next summer and my dreams of a career in medicine were over.

Other than Siouxsie, nothing more than a quid.

Alan's on Finchley High Road and Rise Above in Highgate and a few charity shops in-between.

Made my escape but then took another beating on Highgate.

What a gem of a shop Revolution in Penge is!

The last but 1 Police single that I really care for, Spirits in the Material World being the other. After the major disappointment of Zenyatta Mondatta this was a welcome interlude before the plod of Synchronicity.

Lambchop - loved that album but struggled thereafter.

9 today - the hit and miss Oxfam in Bloomsbury turned up (non-Donald variety) trumps this week.

Bonus from Crystal Palace a week or 2 before - I couldn't resist The Professionals/Avengers 45.

Off to play football at son's birthday party - he's 27.

I love Mi No Pop I! Was my first introduction to the Kid Creole world.

100% - Hysteria is mostly decent (though bits of meh filler like The Sign or So Hurt) - if Mirror Man and Keep Feeling Fascination had been on there instead it would have been almost up with Dare which for me doesn't have a bad track on it.

Best HL single of whatever the HL era after Travelogue and before Romantic is called.
