A White, decrepit face bathed in darkness inspects an unknown item in a chest found. The party, consisting of 4 undead ghouls, must ask the face, the titular cryptmaster, to describe and analyze the object in order for the collective five of them to remember the object in the chests name.

I was expecting a more traditional old school dungeon crawler but I ended up finding a very innovative, humorous experience where I had to make sure to have enough souls on hand in order to summon the publisher's mascot. Highly Recommend

I have again been asked if AI was used to make my game.
For transparency, my minions used generative AI to make all the parts of the game that didn't benefit from a human touch, were too boring to make or not important enough to craft by hand. In other words, we didn't use any generative AI.

Cryptmaster ($16.24) - mavis beacon is still teaching typing, but now she's doing it with a sword in hand at the bottom of a dungeon. do battles, cast spells, solve riddles... all by typing! type anything!

My game of the year for 2024, it's just utterly brilliant, a genius game. Part dungeon crawler, part cursed typing tutor, like Mavis Beacon teaches necromancer. Play it and the Cryptmaster is gonna delight you with every wry, sardonic fully voiced line.

Thank you Cryptmaster, these undead bones aren't quite fit for a couple thousand mile walk.
That was quite an amazing puzzle and treasure hunt nestled inside an equally fantastic game, well done!

All these studios adding AI chatbots in their games, meanwhile we made a better one two years ago with Cryptmaster without using a speck of AI. Just smart writing and good voice acting 😎

oh, you know what might actually be a strangely good fit? cryptmaster is a crawler game and it's combat is still pretty cooldown-y, but all the moves are executed by typing out the word of the move instead of clicking from a menu. it's way more engaging in a way that's hard to describe.

Cryptmaster is a hilarious and inventive game; I highly recommend it.
I admit I did feel dumb playing it, though: remembering all the commands in the heat of battle was just too much for my smooth brain.
