Legislation to restrict supermarket sales of foods high in fat, sugar or salt has led to a marked reduction in purchases, according to the first ever independent analysis.
Research has found legislation to restrict supermarket sales of foods high in fat, sugar or salt (HFSS) has led to around 2 million fewer HFSS items sold per day in England.
The research team have put forward 8 recommendations to policymakers based on the results.
