Alright, I want talk about my Astrobot intro. Which is my favorite I've done this entire year. I had the chance to work with Turtle (my friend 😄) with this one as well. I lost all I did on my side but I'll explain it anyways.

I wish I could show more behind the scene stuff, but I did a PC cleanup (it was dying trying to make this intro lol). Tho I really wanted to make an intro like this and I'm happy I made it to make it so soon (Thank you Turtle).

Fun fact: This background is the PS2 startup intro

I made the credits on After Effects, all the backgrounds were provided by Turtle and she also made that flippy part herself and the circular layer part in the beginning. She also help choosing the colors and filters. Everything else was done in Davinci by me.

I'll now show some comparison pictures. While the pictures with the TV isn't similar to the stage scene, the idea is still the same in a way where the TV(stage) is shown during that part of the song. And I thought it be cool if that part was live action instead as well.

I forgot I did a cleanup on my pc, everything I did before that Metaphor intro is gone…. I can still share my inspiration behind some of my other edits I did. Which next will be Astrobot.

That is pretty much it. Took my bro like 5 days to put it all together (Exams was fucking him) and about 2-3 days for me to do my part. It is 100% one of my favorite intro I made in this year. My goals were met, I only wanted to use that song and Me and Bro cooked 👍

There is some other stuff I did in AE and it's also when I learn how to use 3D Camera (something I wanted to learn for so long!) and I used Davinci to put it all together and Capcut for some light effects and adding a filter

Here how I changed this overlay to a "Metaphor" overlay:
- I completely changed the color to try to match the Metaphor theme
- The map in the ink drop is the actual map of the game
- I also put one of the character as background for the ink drop which did a pretty cool effect

On my end, I was looking through overlays and effects for AE. I wanted something that felt "Medieval" or "Historic" and I found this tutorial. The plan was simple, he cut the scenes together and I apply the effects and credits. I needed someone that I could work well with and had very good scene selection for intros, little bro did not disappoint

So what I decided is to collab with someone. I knew exactly which editors I wanted to work with this, but I tried doing an open invitation in hope one of the editor I had in mind joined me (I got ignored lmao). BUT, my little bro was one of them. So I "asked" him to collab with me.

This does come at a cost 😭. Whole Summer I was stuck at my place to save money, now I gotta do it again until April (Japan part 2). I’m living like a broke man. I SHOULD save up for my future…….. I’ll just get a better job :)
