It's owner's perogative what they wanna do but
there's something really sad about seeing celebrity Austerities with their own interesting histories and unique modifications just get inaccurate BR black so they can look like anonymous J94s on lines that never would've seen them

A rather atypical scene from the early-mid 1950s
L&PR No.5 'Astraios' running around the coaches. The heavy Australian was forbade from running past Hardbrooke due to the lighter nature of the extension. And so would sometimes run a shuttle on Market Day with No.3 'Bia'.

"It was 1935 and I was spending a week up the Waite Valley at The Angler's Retreat. Taking a day for silly pleasures, I hopped on the train down to Portethwaite and after chatting up the staff toiling away in the workshop, I set up my camera in the railway yard. Taking photos of the engine in steam 'Bowen Cooke' as they bustled about the yard. Soon they would disappear down a spur through a row of houses and return with empty wagons bound for the quarry half-way up the line. This photo captures when she eventually returned to bring the wagons to the harbour down the same spur."
Due to the harmful nature of quicklime, it was never coupled onto passenger trains and would be collected by the loco in service, once the 'Passenger' had terminated at Portethwaite.
The photo was taken a wealthy individual, as can be noted by their tickets included from the day of the snap.

Dismantled steam locomotive on top of a flatbed. A diesel locomotive just out of shot pushes them towards the locomotive shed
The significance and importance of No.3 'BIA' cannot be overstated, which is why it's odd to find a photo from a time when she was dismantled and put aside, not worth the effort.

Next to her is a shorthaired white cat looking very curiously into the distance, but the cat is restrained by the womanβs hand and also a harness if it should decide to run off and investigate.
Coolest couple in the neighborhood. Photo from my collection, 1937.

BR ex-POs Wagons β We want your thoughts!
Factory weathering can be a divisive subject. Our latest RCH 1907 opens are in customers hands. 2 of these were BR ex-POs and both wear a faded livery showing the previous owners.
What works? What could be done differently? Let us know in the comments.
A color photo of a delicate and fluffy white medium-haired cat sitting on a window ledge. They are looking at the camera. What makes this photo extra special is that the cat is backlight by the sun coming through the window, the light illuminating their fluffy hair making them appear glowing and angelic.
Luminous angel babby from my collection, ca. 1960s.

Brigitte never minded mixed trains. She enjoyed the small shunting, Yet weirdly she always hated soley-goods trains.
Some think she hates unfitted stock. Others believe it's the lack of passenger praise. whilst her crew think its because she got lime in her eyes.

Being an odd-job engine, Bia was no stranger to charter trains, and was always the first choice for them unless a specific locomotive was requested by the client.

π°οΈ ON THIS DAY - 160 YEARS AGO
On the 22nd April 1865 the North Wales Chronicle reported on the recent delivery of a new locomotive to the Talyllyn Railway, which was none other than No.1 'Talyllyn'.
A special illustration has been prepared to mark this anniversary...

So Google's latest consent violation is them generating "AI" audio of your voice in YouTube as an opt-out "service."
Here's how to turn it off (original images reposted with alt text):
[Sprites by Cj-the-Creator, Princess-Muffins, and Myself] After he was recovered from the wreckage at Mr Jolly's Cocolate Factory, Hermes was brought back to Tidmouth Sheds by Duck. The Fat Controller had wanted the engines present at the sheds, which meant Hermes would have to return despite the mess he was in.

Based on the simplicity, we can presume it's from the very late 1920s
