Well, yeah I use holidays strategically (thankfully cos it's a cycle I know my days off for the entire year) and as I don't start until 10am I often can get a hotel and stay over and come back on the train and head straight in

It works out better in the long run. Not restricted by the same days (i.e. weekends where everything costs 5 times as such just coz it's a fucking Friday/ Saturday). Wouldn't be able to doa. Fraction of what I do.
I mean, I'm happy to do stuff on work nights but it's not always logistical
My days off change every week (in an 8 week cycle) and largely having to travel a lot for them, all takes strategic planning !!

I worked out that I did 76 gigs+plays last year. Works out at approx 1 every 5 days over the year. Except it doesn't work like that, does it ? Nothing for weeks and then 6 in 2 days !
